Sarazino is the brainchild of Lamine Fellah, a musician, songwriter and producer whose nomadic life is reflected in the multicultural influences in his songs. Fellah is a true child of a globalized world and Sarazino’s music draws on reggae, Latin and African grooves, Arabic music and catchy, international pop to create an upbeat celebration of the diverse world we all share.
May 31, 2012 - Algerian-born musician Lamine Fellah blends reggae, Latin grooves, and African funk into a sound he calls a "global party." Fellah's father was killed during unrest in Algeria, and his lyrics cover topics like freedom, equality and tolerance. Fellah speaks with host Michel Martin about his family, career and recently released album Everyday Salama.

The sounds of Latin pop, reggae, funk, African and Arabic music have brought the second release of the Cumbancha Discovery series, Sarazino’s Ya Foy!. Guest artists such as Toots Hibbert of Toots and the Maytals, Blanquito Man from King Changó and African singer Revelino add to the upbeat feel and catchy melodies of the album.
