“Idan Raichel is Israel’s answer to Peter Gabriel, a collaborator who thrives on musical collisions and cross-fertilisation.” - The Irish Times

The Idan Raichel Project, one of the most commercially successful and critically acclaimed music groups from Israel, will be presenting four concerts at the picturesque Caesarea Amphitheater on June 11, 12, 13, and 15th. Located amidst the ruins of the ancient Roman city of Caesarea, north of Tel Aviv, Israel, the Caesarea Amphitheater dates back to the era of King Herod who ruled from the years 37-4 BCE. The current capacity of the venue is 3800 people, and with the concerts now sold-out in advance, The Idan Raichel Project will perform to over 15,000 people during the course of week. The concerts offer a rare opportunity to experience a performance by one of Israel's leading musical groups and cultural ambassadors in a unique and magical setting.

The concerts celebrate the 10th Anniversary of The Idan Raichel Project, a collective of musicians from diverse cultural backgrounds that has transformed the face of modern Israeli music and earned accolades at home and around the world. The concerts also serve to launch The Idan Raichel Project's new album Quarter to Six, which will be released by Cumbancha in North America on June 4th and in Europe this fall, with a North American tour bringing the complete lineup of diverse musicians to major stages starting in October.

In keeping with the Project's efforts to build bridges between people of diverse backgrounds and beliefs, ambassadors and diplomats from around the world have been invited to attend the concerts. Major media outlets from across the globe will also be covering the event and telling the story of this unique musical collective and its charismatic and creative leader.

Idan Raichel has enjoyed tremendous success at home and abroad and his cross-cultural influences and appealing sound have earned him a wide following in Israel and around the globe. Idan has performed at the Nobel Peace Prize awards ceremony alongside his frequent collaborator India.Arie, co-written a song calling for racial harmony with Israeli President and Nobel Peace Prize laureate Shimon Peres, performed for President Barack Obama and family at the Kennedy Center on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, performed at the ceremony inaugurating the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial in Washington DC, sold out shows at Radio City Music Hall and other major venues worldwide, toured India, South America and Africa and released the highly praised Tel Aviv Session album with Malian guitarist Vieux Farka Touré. Recently, Idan performed at a private concert for President Obama, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and a handful of select guests (PHOTO HERE).
